 Hans A. Andrews

Author of

HANS A. ANDREWS is the Distinguished Fellow for Community College Leadership at Olney Central College in Southeastern Illinois. He has a Bachelor of Science degree (1960) in Business Education from Central Michigan University. He received his Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Guidance in 1963 from Michigan State University. In 1971 he earned his Ed.D. Degree in Counseling Psychology and Higher Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

 Andrews retired as President of Olney Central College and lives in Northern Illinois. He was Dean of Instruction at Illinois Valley Community College and Vice President for Community and Student Services at Kellogg Community College. He worked five years in high school teaching and had roles as Director of Counseling and Guidance in two secondary schools and taught part-time in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Illinois State University.

 Andrews has previously published five books: Accountable Teacher Evaluation! Toward Highly Qualified and Competent Teachers: The Dual-Credit Phenomenon! Challenging Secondary School Students Across 50 States; Teachers Can Be Fired: The Quest for Quality; Evaluating for Excellence; and Merit in Education. In addition, he has published over 80 professional articles and served on three editorial boards of educational journals. He is a nationally known consultant in the areas of faculty evaluation, teacher awards and recognition and dual-credit programs.
